DALEN KEYS

After two hip replacement surgeries in 2015 , Dalen Keys continued working with Denise Boyle , Master Personal Trainer , to improve his mobility , fitness , and weight loss . Dalen ’ s focus has changed from being the person who needed tailored workouts for recovery after major surgery , to the athlete who was consistently in the top five leader position in the “ Fall Back into Fitness ”
MYZONE Challenge ! Participating in the MYZONE Challenge kept Dalen focused on his goals of losing weight and gaining his mobility back after the two surgeries .
You could say that he stepped up his game a notch or two . In October 2016 , Dalen stood in third place out of 101 participants ! A far cry from hip replacement recovery ! " Dalen ' s approach to fitness as a rule has not changed since his hip replacement ,” says trainer , Denise , “ but his drive and determination have increased , which is evident from his standings in the HAC MYZONE Challenge . He has lost an additional ten pounds , reduced his waist size , and now we could hardly tell he ever had hip replacements . Each time we work out , he still gives me 110 % and then says ‘ what ' s next ?’"
During his sessions with Denise , Dalen was able to see the HAC MYZONE cardio data displayed on the screen in the Personal Training Studio , which gave him additional information to use for motivation . Denise and Dalen both can see how hard he is working by the numbers displayed on the screen . " I try to mix a nice
combination of strength and cardio during his 45-minute sessions . But before and after our session , you can see Dalen on the elliptical doing his cardio program . He also comes in on the weekends and continues his workouts ."
He has participated in every special challenge issued by HAC . " I love that I ' m able to monitor my heart rate continuously during my workout but also accrue points to help me easily monitor my performance in comparison to other people ,” Dalen says . “ I ' m a competitive guy , and I really like how the MYZONE pushes me , especially during the challenges ." Dalen has a very demanding and busy full time work schedule . As a manager , he is constantly being pulled in different directions during the course of his work day and has to travel as well . " I wish I could devote more time to my fitness , but I ' m pleased with the progress I ' ve made ." He is
an inspiration to many business people who also find it difficult to find time for fitness in their schedule . " The time I ' m devoting to my fitness is critical ," he says . " I now have more energy and endurance , which help me in my personal life and on the job ."
Dalen calls himself your " average , old , chubby guy ,” but he wants everyone to know that if he can make improvements in his health and fitness , anyone can .
