What is It?
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in
the body. Excess calcium can cause health
issues, like kidney stones and calcifications
in the blood vessels. A calcium deficiency
is often characterized by muscle cramps,
tiredness, and potentially more severe
problems if left unchecked.
Health Benefits
Calcium is a mineral that is essential to our
body’s functions. It provides bone and teeth
health and aids in muscle function, nerve
transmission, and hormonal secretion. It
also helps our blood clot.
Food Sources
Calcium can be found in dairy, tofu, collard
greens, spinach, turnip greens, bok choy,
kale, and cinnamon.
Mediterranean
TUNA TOAST POINTS
1 tbsp. tahini
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. water
1 can of tuna in water, drained
4 kalamata olives, chopped
and pitted
1.
Whisk tahini, lemon juice,
and water together in a
bowl.
2. Add olives, feta, and tuna.
Stir until combined.
3. Slice grape tomatoes and
hard boiled egg.
2 tbsp. feta cheese
1/2 cup of baby spinach
5 grape tomatoes
1 hard-boiled egg
3 slices of bread of choice
4. Toast bread and cut
diagonally for 6 large
toast points or 12 small.
5. Top toast with tuna,
spinach, tomatoes, and
eggs. Enjoy!
