Topics for discussion included: »» plumbing standards »» Plumbing Code of Australia 2016 »» changes to AS/NZS 5601 – Gas Installations »» ESV’s new online application process »» VBA accreditation applications »» VBA complaints process. AS/NZS5601 amendments ESV’s presentation concentrated on amendments to AS/NZS5601.1 Gas Installations: General Installations and AS/NZS5601.2 Gas Installations: LP Gas Installations in caravans and boats for non-propulsive purposes, which were published on 11 May. Gas practitioners should visit the SAI Global website to access the amendments. GasTrac online services Attendees were also advised that ESV’s new online service for gas practitioners is coming. ESVConnect will contain a facility known as GasTrac that will enable gas practitioners to submit and manage applications for Type B and Complex gas installations online. In the coming months ESV will host a series of seminars for gas practitioners across Victoria with more information on ESVConnect and GasTrac.
