Tatjana Munko Magistra Sestrinstva Special hospital for resipiratory disease, Rockefellerova 3, [email protected] Hr THE EFFECTS OF THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT ON THE QUALITY OF HEALTH CARE OUTCOMES In this study we want to shav connection and interaction betwenn the nurses work enviroment (danger,harm,effort and work organisation) with the quality of healtcare. For different reasons in healthcare, such as savings, lack of interest of the employer, we are faced with increasingly poor quality of the nurses workplace and environment. Objective: Examine the usefulness of the assessment requirements and modes (risk assessment) in order to estimate the expected outcomes of care. Methods: The study included 60 subjects who work at the place of medical professionals, nurses and technicians in middle and high qualification of employees at the Hospital for Pulmonary Diseases in Zagreb. The research was carried out by the Basel standardized questionnaire about the possibilities of conducting care (Basel Extent of rationing of Nursing Care BERNCA Version 1 MS 2004). Questionnaire examining indicators are important in the work of nurses: pressure ulcer, fall, and patient satisfaction and hospital infections. Having reviewed the document "risk assessment" for the 2013th year of the obtained data on the work environment. Results: Results show that there is a problem with hand hygiene and the monitoring of the patient because of the large departments that are architecturally badly adapted. The document "risk assessment" workplace contains incomplete information on working conditions and impact environment nurses. Conclusion: Inadequate architectural solution, inadequate lighting, lack of a sound signal in the patient's room directly affect the safety of the patient but also the quality of health care.
