Renata Balić Master of nursing University Hospital Centre Zagreb Kispaticeva 12 [email protected] HR IMPLEMENTING NEW INFORMATICS APPLICATION OF THE HOSPITAL INFORMATION SYSTEM INTO THE WORK OF THE HEAD NURSES The implementation of the solution Microsoft Dynamics AX in University Hospital Centre Zagreb includes business processes of the accounting, financing, supply and controlling the supplies, ordering medication and disposable material, with the possibility of controlling the state financially. In large hospitals is important that the process is well planned and coordinated. - One person from the rank of head nurses with more knowledge, skills and affinities in the field of information was chosen as a coordinator - The coordinator has passed the training programme organised by the Department of informatics technology - Presentation of the application itself shows the possibilities and usefulness of the work - The education of the employees was performed into smaller groups - The timeline had included planning of: 1. education time 2. practical application of the app Support with resolving any possible complications: written instructions and an algorithm of procedures. While working with the medical application, we have the following possibilities: upgrades, malfunctions of the application, and we have to keep in mind there is a possibility of a complete computer/network system malfunction within the health care institution. In those situations it is crucial to have instructions previously planned or an algorithm telling us what to do or how to resolve those situations. Computing systems that simplify ordering, approving, controlling stocks and financial liquidity of each hospital department could help, but in the same time complicate work. Detailed planning of new processes contributes to the success of such a complex project.
