Helene Breiteneder-Aigner, MSc St. Anna Kinderspital Kinderspitalgasse 6, 1090 Wien, AT [email protected] THERE IS ONLY ONE THING IN THE LONG RUN MORE EXPENSIVE THAN EDUCATION: NO EDUCATION For members of the nursing profession, training and education is a field determined by legal requirements and characterised by a near overabundance of options as well as varying, occasionally conflicting interests and aspirations in conjunction with limited time and financial resources. The 'Training Concept for Nursing' was developed at St. Anna Children's Hospital in order to make this wide field as manageable as possible and obtain as great a benefit as possible from it. This concept ensures that the time and financial resources available are used as best possible. It provides transparency in terms of the training and support options available to staff members, warrants compliance with the legal requirements, satisfies the needs of St. Anna Children's Hospital and accommodates employee preferences as best possible. The presentation will outline the concept, its implementation and the results of the first evaluation round. Keywords: Trainig education concept Congress Topics: Connecting, Sharing and Learning in Nursing 28 |
