February is here! With Valentine’s day right around the corner we usually associate this month
with couples and the traditional sense of love. Why don’t we through a monkey wrench in the
machine and change the gears this year? Instead of dwelling on whether or not you’ll have a
date, or worrying about what to buy your other half, I say we look inward and make this month
about self - love. If you’re in a relationship, you release the stress off yourself and your partner
to one up the other on the gifts and if you’re an independent single, you focus your energy in a
healthier direction rather than on the lack.
In this issue as well as every issue, our contributors give some great advice on ways to better
yourself. Learn how to listen to your heart with Encantado’s new creative director and contrib-
uting writer, Natalie Pena in her article this month titled, Health Is Where The Heart Is.
Check out the beautiful jewelry and clothing from local designers, some of which will be trav-
eling to New York this week for the New York Fashion Week! Surely you will find a gift you’d
