Change the word diet to “getting healthy” and EAT! Allow yourself treats, just don’t over indulge. The trick is moderation. I would also toss the scale! Use your clothes as measurement of how good you feel.

3)Eat the Rainbow

The more colorful your plate the better choices your making. Eat whole foods. Avoid processed junk foods. Try foods you’ve never eaten. Each time you go to the store, pick a produce item you have never tried. Search food blogs and social media sites for recipes and other foods to try.

4)Find a Partner

There’s nothing that will make you want to sweat more than friends keeping tabs on each other. You need to trust them and be able to be vulnerable with them. No frienemy here. That’s a recipe for failure. You need to be able to say I’m not doing this today and be lifted up. At the same time, do that for them, you need to motivate one another. My partner has been invited to watch me toss my scale more than once!

5)GET PHYSICAL

It doesn’t matter if you can only walk the hallway of your house or if you can run marathons. Get up and get going. My honest opinion is to forego the gym and find something you can do outside or in your home for exercise. There are a number of apps to help you tract results. Not to mention more motivation on social media (twitter, Pinterest, Instagram all have workouts and motivators) Be careful not to overdo your routine and push yourself as you are physically fit to do so. I think you’ll find the more you do, the more you want to.
