I am an independent real estate investor. I buy
single family homes in Strongbrook markets and
am always looking to use my excellent credit to
partner with people and expand my portfolio.
What problems were you facing before joining
REIA NYC / WISE
Before joining REIA NYC, I had decided that real
estate was the path for me to achieve financial
freedom. However, I did not know what steps to
take next. There is a LOT of information out there,
both free and costly. I went to several meet-up
groups, looked at websites and bought books. But
I had not taken any specific action toward buying
property, because I didn't want to make a costly
mistake. And there were just so many paths in real
estate (creative, traditional, notes, tax liens, etc)

What we did that solve those problems
I immediately became interested when I saw
women of color in almost all of the leadership
positions. This was and continues to be inspiring.
Since then I have met several Black power couples
who know a whole lot more about the financial
world and real estate than me, and are always
willing to answer my questions. At every meeting I
came away with great information and many notes
that still serve as my own reference library. It is in
this environment that I signed up with Strongbrook
through REIA NYC, enabling me to finally take my
first steps toward purchasing property.
