? The attrition rate in the IT & ITeS-BPO sector fell sharply to 15-20% cent in H1 2012 compared to some 60% in the previous year, industry body ASSOCHAM said in August 2012. The reasons included the uncertain global economic environment and cross-currency fluctuations. ? Attrition levels were at a minimum of 5% amid employees with working experience of over 10 years, at 7-10% amid employees with 5-10 years of experience and at 15-20% amid employees with less than 5 years of work experience, ASSOCHAM said. ? Smaller towns attract IT-BPO service providers, as running costs for an office are some 25% lower than in Indian metros.
