UAE Juniors Gain Valuable Experience at Pan Arab Junior Golf Championship

(Cairo, Egypt) – On October 26 – 31, 2014 the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Juniors and Ladies National Golf Teams traveled to Cairo, Egypt to participate in the 2014 Pan Arabs Junior Golf Championship. Three UAE Golf Teams took on the Palm Hill Golf Club designed by famous Jack Nicklaus.

Finishing in Fourth Place in the Gross Category and Sixth Place in the Net Category, the UAE Boys 18 & Under team was in the hunt all week long. The 18 & Under team was made up of Abdulla Al Qubaisi, Ahmad Skaik, and Saeed Al Balooshi. Ahmed Sakik finished in Eighth Place out 21 players in the Individual Gross Category with rounds of 79, 87, and 77 Gross Score. Abdulla Al Qubaisi had rounds of 84, 83, and 86 Gross Score. Saeed Al Balooshi had rounds of 95, 94, and 97 Gross Score. In the Team Gross Category Morocco finished in First, Egypt finished in Second, and Tunisia finished in Third.

For the UAE Boys 15 & Under team this was a big step for this young team. The 15 & Under Team finished Eighth in both the Team Gross and Net Categories. Representing the 15 & Under team was Mahmood Skaik, Khalil Kashwani, Mohammed S. Abdulla. Mamood Sakik led the way for the 15 & Under team with rounds of 98, 98, and 90 Gross Score. Mohmmad Abdulla had rounds of 107, 112, and 112 Gross Score. Khalil Kashwani was one of the youngest players at the event at the age of 11. Kashwani had rounds of 115, 164, and 115 Gross Score. In the Team Gross Category Tunisia finished in First, Egypt finished in Second, and Morocco finished in Third.
