Reema Al Heloo Coaches Her Classmates at EGF Golf Orientation

(Dubai, UAE) - The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) started the year off by hosting a Golf Orientation for the Naad Al Hamar School Dubai. With the help of Reema Al Heloo a student of Naad Al Hamar School Dubai and a member of the National Junior Development Program (NJDP) the EGF was able to introduce the game of golf to the Emirati beginners.

On January 4, 2015 the NJDP Coach Greg Holmes put together a four-hour introduction class at Emirates Golf Club for young Emiratis that have never played golf before. Reema Al Heloo not only helped translate for Mr. Holmes but she also taught her fellow classmates the basics of the golf grip, stance, and swing.

“I was nervous at first to teach my friends, but the more they hit balls the more I found myself coaching them. It was great to have the chance to show my friends how challenging and fun golf is to me,” said Reema Al Heloo.

At 12 years old, Reema has been playing golf for four years, but in the past six months she has really seen an improvement in her game. Along with being a member of the NJDP Reema is a great ambassador for United Arab Emirates (UAE) Golf. She is at the top of her class in school and practices golf three to four times a week at Al Badia Golf Club. Reema has just started playing 18-hole tournaments where she looks to improve her game and eventually start representing the UAE on the National Women’s Team.
