A Letter From The Chairman

Dear Members,

The Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) Board of Directors would like to welcome all of the new members and welcome back the members that have renewed their membership for 2015.

With last year being such an encouraging year, the Federation is excited for 2015. The Federation saw a 12% growth in memberships in 2014 while spending time teaming up with valuable partners in UAE golf.

As the Desert Swing ends the EGF would like to thank all of the golf clubs, tournament management teams, and sponsors that made this Desert Swing so remarkable. As a co-sanctioning affiliate for these events in the UAE, the Federation received tremendous support from all parties involved.

In 2014 the National Junior Development Program (NJDP) saw some major shifting within the program. With new coaches and a new training schedule the program is expected to make an impression in 2015. The EGF started on the right note. On January 4th the EGF held a Golf Orientation for the Naad Al Hamar School Dubai. Hosted by Reema Al Heloo (a student of Naad Al Hamar School Dubai & a member of the NJDP) and National Team Coaches, the EGF was able to introduce the game of golf to the Emirati beginners.

As part of out ongoing effort to reach out more frequently and efficiently to our members, we offer this E-newsletter to broadcast information on golfing activities across the UAE. Also, stay connected with the EGF on social media with Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

We at the EGF hope that you have a fantastic 2015. If you have any questions regarding the EGF or your membership please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or 4 295 2277.

Best wishes,

Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi

Chairman - Emirates Golf Federation
