She provides training and guidance, and she does not believe in sitting
and waiting for your dreams. You have to go out and get what you
want. She exposed her models to other parts of the world and how
other places do business.
Yulia Moshkariova is the creator of Red Star Model Management, a
“boutique” exclusive model management placement business. The
business represents professional talent for fashion and commercial print
work in the mid-Atlantic region, South Florida metropolitan area, and
New York City. Their main office is located in Virginia Beach, VA, and
they also have virtual offices in New York City and Miami.
In the short time that they have been in business, Yulia has hired a
wonderful staff, and they have signed thirty plus models. Her agency’s
niche is being local to the Hampton Roads community while also having
New York City and Europe/Asia agency connections. She offers the
Hampton Roads models a chance to gain more experience and fill their
portfolio from home before having to commit to move or travel.
Moshkariova’s inspiration for the name of the company derived from her
desire to pay homage to her home country, Russia. Yulia moved to the
United States in 1994, and she grew up in Virginia Beach studying art
and science.
Yulia’s standards are strict, however. She demands greatness and
dedication from all who work for her. Her models have to want this to be
their career, and her requirements are clearly spelled out on her website.
She is open to accepting models from all backgrounds such as fashion,
commercial, fitness, plus size, and acting.
When Yulia decided to create her own photography company, YM
Photography, she realized her demand for high caliber models was
necessary, so in 2013 she started Red Star Model Management to aid
the local modeling community.
She does not demand something that she doesn’t display. Yulia is a
nurse full time from Monday through Thursday, has her own photography company and still finds time to dedicate herself to helping models.
