First we want to thank the Great, I AM GOD, for letting our paths intersect and keeping us on this journey together. We know in our hearts that He blessed this union and will continue to do just that. We also want to thank our parents: Marc & Georgina Bates (bride), late Clint Long & Mae Liner (groom) for showing us an example of what Love is. Our Spiritual Teachers: Priest Eli and Queen Abigail Burdo, thank you for your guidance and support. To our Bridal Party, we couldn’t do this without you! From the long nights of baking cupcakes to just being our backbone during the stressful times, we thank you and we appreciate you. Special shoutouts to Shemika Thompson, Event Planner for the Charles Hayes Center for your patience, kind words and your extra effort to make this day special. To our Wedding Coordinator/Dress & Crown Maker, Kimberly Warfield…we appreciate your craft & diligence. I cannot forget to also mention Mary Warren-Butler, whom was the bridesmaids Seamstress... they were snatched & gorgeous! To Batesway Catering, the food was beautiful and delicious. It was exactly what we wanted! To our Photographer, D. Moore, thank you so much. We loved the moments you captured. To our Videographer, Christopher Sheppard, we’ve watched our wedding video a billion times and were still not bored of it. To our Flower Girls(Aminaa, Willow & Zion), Broomen(Lemarc Jr), Ring Bearer(Dylan Liner) , Ushers and Runners(Aniyah, Tamorah, Jakala, Teana, Raziel, Ashlei & Melchizedek) your work was not unnoticed!! And lastly, to our family, friends and guests….. We are blessed by each of you with your presence to witness an everlasting commitment...#BlackLove. With all of your encouraging words, shared laughter and moments we will continue to embark this lifelong excursion together. Remember, Love is real and sometimes may not be kind. However, the race isn’t given to neither the strength nor the strong but given to the one that endures. Thank you.
