Punk Rock- Aqui d’el-Rock
Aqui d'El-Rock was the first Portuguese Punk band, formed in
Lisbon in 1977.
The band, known for being one of the pioneers of the so-called
Portuguese rock boom, established a turning point in the history
of Portuguese music becoming the first national punk band to
record an album in 1978, featuring the famous single Violante
the System, which would have included that it is one of first
video clips, produced by RTP.
In 1982, the band ended, but points to later as a source of
inspiration for many national bands of Punk that would succeed.
