BUTTERFLY VALLEY : The valley is situated at the foothill of Babadağ . It ' s surrounded by steap rocky walls that reach 350 meters . The waterfall in Faralya reaches the Mediterranean Sea from the middle of the valley . The valley is rich in flora and fauna ; it takes its name from the large number of butterfly species found here . Scientists recorded some 147 flora species belonging to 54 families native to the valley . The butterfly species include the Jersey tiger ( Latin name for this butterfly : Euplagia quadripunctaria rhodosensis ).
Between June and September the valley becomes colorful . The valley is important for Turkey ecotourism . In here such as camping , hiking , canyoning , canoeing and scuba diving can be performed . The valley is open to public the entire year . About 200 visitors are camping in July and August .
