NICE PLACES IN GRAN CANARIA
Agaete is located in the northwest of Gran Canaria , 30 kms away from Las Palmas , the capital of the island . It borders with the municipalities of Galdar and Artenara . Agaete stands out because of its charming old town where the influence of the traditional architecture from the nineteenth century can be observed .
The most outstanding landmarks are the Concepción Church and the chapels of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves and of San Sebastián . The Rama Museum is also nice to visit . El Roque Partido , better known as el Dedo de Dios ( God ’ s Finger ), is an astonishing rocky formation in the middle of the sea . Another remarkable formation are the natural pools .
