is starting to ebb , despite the draw of the different skills and upgrades available . It ’ s all the more of a shame because honestly the visual style of the game is fantastic . The colour palette is joyous and catches the eye , and its a fantastic visual way of modernising what is an incredibly classic style of game .
If you ’ re into old skool shooters , you ’ ll appreciate the depth added by the skill system and RPG elements , but the appeal does wear thin after a while . 6 / 10
