Last year Parkway Drive managed to sell out and obliterate Brixton Academy and they’ve done the unthinkable and sold it out once again, actually they’ve sold out this tour in fact. For over a decade they have been a force to be reckoned with live, blowing every band on every bill far far away with their thunderous and unfuckwithable back catalogue. Now armed with a fairly decent production they are set on firmly being one of the metal bands of our generation. First act on tonight is the always brilliant hardcore heroes Stick To Your Guns. The band bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to their set and get the place moving early on. Songs like Nobody and Empty Heads see’s heads bang, fists raised and voices screaming every word back to them. Jesse Barnett brings his inspirational passages to the fore before the guys kick into another song that see’s more and more people creep towards the front and actually give this band their attention. Closer fan favourite Amber incites the first circle pit of the evening. www.eliteonlinemag.com 185
