Knowledge – Who is the best at totally useless knowledge and weird facts ? That would be me . I ’ ve got a habit of saying “ fun fact ” and real off some completely useless factoid . I watch QI a lot haha
Line-up – If you could put together your ideal tour line-up , and you could pick two bands to play alongside you , who would you pick and why ? Two ? No chance . My ideal line up would be our circle of chums : Us , Heck , Black Peaks , Zoax and Bad Sign . All great bands and our best buds in the biz .
Material – Looking back at all the material you have released so far as a band , what has been your absolute favourite ? Personally I love ‘ I watch the Fire …’ it has everything you ’ d want in a Palm Reader tune . Except Josh ’ s sexy singing haha
Next – What ’ s next to come from the band ? What do you hope to have achieved by the end of the year ? We ’ re heading to the studio in April to record the next album which we ’ re planning on releasing in Autumn
Opportunity – If you were given the opportunity to headline any festival in the world , which would you pick ? ATP would be awesome – a super eclectic mix of bands in awesome locations .
Prodigy – If you could have been a child prodigy , what would you have been skilled at ? Golf . There ’ s so much money in golf and I fancy being kept by my child being a complete wizard with a club haha
Queen – Who is the band ’ s biggest drama queen ? Drama ? We ’ re pretty drama free to be honest . Sure we have squabbles but wat dysfunctional family doesn ’ t ?
Rituals – Do you have any pre-show rituals ? None at all haha . A lot of bands do the whole huddle thing and it ’ s kind of cool , but we just want to get on with it .
Stage – What ’ s the most embarrassing thing you have had happen to you whilst on stage ? HAHA oh god . That ’ s a story that will NEVER be printed , so I ’ ll run with : I played the wrong song once then proceeded to get arsey with everyone else when it was me that couldn ’ t read my setlist properly
Tips – What tips or advice would you give to anyone starting up a band ? Do it whole heartedly and do it right or don ’ t bother . Either want to be in a band and do what you can to make it work or just fuck off . Everyone in PR has their job to do and we each rely on each other pulling their weight or else the whole thing falls apart . Also , back drops , scrims , endless merch , unnecessary laptops , flashy videos and slick social media is all superfluous and doesn ’ t mean you ’ ll be a good band . Back in the early days , we played with a band in a Wetherspoons and they had all the above items and they were POO . Heck are THE perfect example of how to be a great band without all the bells and whistles . EVERYONE should learn from them .
Unknown – Tell us an unknown fact about the band ! 4 of us live together in the same house . We know all each others secrets and pet hates .
Viral – If you could do or say something that would go viral , what would you want it to be ? A product that I produce so that I can make a fuck ton of cash .
Writing – What influences you when it comes to writing new songs ? Stress and lack of sleep . I write my best stuff when I ’ m struggling to function .
X-rated – Do you have any bizarre or x-rated tour stories ? Yes . There ’ s an amazing story about the antics that happened with Bleed From Within and Polar on the trip from Sweden to Finland . Nudity in family areas , throwing chairs , pooing in bushes , fights with ferry staff , lost passports . It ’ s a treat , but I won ’ t name names here .
Year – What can we expect to see from the band for the remainder of this year ? More shows , more woes and more highs and lows
Zombie – If the entire band were involved in a zombie apocalypse , who would be eaten first and who would survive ? Good question . We all have our specific skill sets which would be beneficial . I ’ d have to say Dan would get eaten first as altho he ’ s 84ft tall , he has very little legs . Posh and Sam have the lions share of strength and speed so they ’ d last a while . Josh and I are extremely resourceful which means we ’ d outlast the other two . Ultimately tho I think I ’ d survive the longest because I spent my childhood in thewoods and learned basic foraging and trap setting skills . Means I can catch and eat my own food with rudimentary tools . I win the race of life # zombieking
