Frank Iero and the Patience - Parachutes Hassle Records | Release Date : 28th October 2016
Previously recording under the name frnkiero and the cellabration , ‘ Parachutes ’ comes from the same people , only this time they ’ re Frank Iero and the Patience . ‘ Parachutes ’ feels like progression and growth and it feels like Frank Iero is finally at home . Opening track ‘ World Destroyer ’ is devastatingly beautiful and sounds BIG , a feeling which weaves its way throughout the album right to its end . ‘ I ’ m A Mess ’ is a frantic , bouncy crowd pleaser and ‘ Dear Percocet , I Don ’ t Think We Should See Each Other Anymore .’ is grizzly and raw , just the way this band should be . Frank ’ s vocals ooze with a new found confidence even when they ’ re exposed in ‘ Miss Me ’, a cute and meaningful country-esque number , and it ’ s so good to hear .
In places , ‘ Parachutes ’ feels a little long and samey but where it thrives it really explodes and makes an impression on you . Frank Iero and the Patience is a new era for the band and this time it feels very right .

I Prevail - Lifelines Fearless Records | Release Date : 21st October 2016
‘ Lifelines ’ does what it says on the tin . It is a lifeline for anyone who feels lost , alone , down and outcast . It ’ s full of powerful riffs , a lot of passion and lyrics that will probably save some lives .
I Prevail have emerged at a time where their scene is thriving . Bands such as Beartooth , Of Mice and Men and Issues are touring the world and with such influences and friends as these , it is obvious that I Prevail too could be doing so to the same level of success . Citing those bands leads to the only negative about Lifelines . Many of the riffs and vocals sound similar to those of the aforementioned , for example ‘ Already Dead ’ sounds all too familiar . Having said that , it ’ s a sound which is most loved and will propel them to finding new fans worldwide .
The riffs are heavy , the gang vocals are strong and above all the lyrics are poignant . Whether it be in the chants of ‘ RISE ’ or the unifying ‘ Outcast ’, there are words for every underdog in this album . In some ways , it feels like a record for I Prevail themselves as much it does the fans ; they are the underdogs and with a bit of hard work and craft , they will rise just as high as those they admire .
