Support : Bowling for Soup & Buckcherry
After announcing their return to the UK back in February , American glam-rock / metal favourites Steel Panther finished their short 4 date arena tour at the home of metal at Birmingham ’ s Barclaycard Arena . There was a lot of anticipation from fans leading up to this tour with support coming from the pop-punk giants Bowling for Soup and rock veterans Buckcherry .
First on the bill were the American rockers Buckcherry who were bringing a wealth of experience to the proceedings . With over 20 years and 7 studio albums under their belts , there was high expectancy amongst the Brummie crowd . From the opening track of their 7 track set ‘ Sunshine ’, Buckcherry carried a raw rock sound that had every member of the audience nodding their heads and tapping their feet to . The high energy produced throughout by every member of the band certainly projected in leaps and bounds , and the audience enjoyed a small selection of the band ’ s back
Barclaycard Arena ( NIA ) 19th OCTOber 2016 catalogue with tracks such as ‘ Gluttony ’ and ‘ Lit Up ’ before enjoying an extended version of the band ’ s most recognised hit ‘ Crazy Bitch ’.
After a brief interval , pop-punk giants Bowling for Soup took to the stage with their unusual cartoon style introduction music . Off the back of a big UK tour themselves , you could certainly feel the excitement amongst every member of the audience who were expecting a big selection of fan favourites . Bowling for Soup also have over 20 years of experience , and have recently released their 10th studio album ‘ Drunk Dynasty ’. The band began with a classic track ‘ The Bitch Song ’ which had a wonderful pace and feel about it , and you could tell that this is what the audience had come to expect on a cold October night in Birmingham .
