To work towards that goal, she just paid for her own mom to enroll in nail school so one day she can work for and support Alondra. Unfortunately for all her faithful friends and fans in the Sacramento area, she plans to open her first place in San Mateo because of her familiarity with the city and the Hispanic-based clientele out there which make up the majority of her customers. She strongly believes that the key to success is to start looking for grants and investors young, while saving money. And in the beauty industry specifically, finding long term clientele who are faithful to you.

To people who consider starting their own businesses, Alondra encourages you to never give up. Take it day by day. There were times she had no clients, felt depleted, and didn’t want to do it anymore. She even said there would be days when no one showed up and she just wanted to give up. But because she loves her trade and believes in herself, she persevered and clearly it was worth it.

Having a high school sweetheart, her boyfriend of 6 years who is extremely supportive, makes the journey a little easier. She shared that he always makes sure to look out for her best business interests for her, even when she’s not. However, with all serious commitments, and as most entrepreneurs should know, the long strenuous hours can be a little stressful, especially on relationships. Thankfully for Alondra, not only does she have a doting boyfriend, but also a loving family encouraging her every step of the way.
