I went to see my doctor to see if she could

recommend something more natural for

balancing hormones. While at my appointment, my doctor checked for other potential health issues and found that my uterine lining was

thinning and causing the extra bleeding and pain. She prescribed me a birth control pill with a low dose of estrogen that would help stop the heavy flow.

Not wanting to take a prescribed medication, I decided to do some research on a more natural way to alleviate my symptoms. I also went to my sister's house, as she is very knowledgeable about alternative and homeopathic products. She suggested that I watch "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" by Dr. Wallach on YouTube. Thanks to that recommendation, I discovered information that would change my life forever.

That initial link led me on a journey of discoveries and lessons including learning about a friend and colleague of Dr. Wallach’s, a Naturopathic doctor named Dr. Glidden. Naturopaths believe that most of our Dis - Ease is caused by a lack of vital vitamins and plant minerals both in the body, and in the soil we grow the food that sustains us in. We need more than 90 plants and minerals to sustain and support the body's ultimate overall health.

I had a video marathon one day after watching Dr. Wallach’s enlightening talk and listening to replays of Dr. Glidden’s radio show.

Through my exploration into Dr. Wallach & Dr. Glidden’s theories, I learned that I may be deficient in some key vitamins and nutrients. Because of this, I decided to take some natural supplements and to pay attention to my diet,

exercise and how much water I drink. I can tell you that after only a couple of weeks, that my migraine symptoms began dissipating, and soon thereafter, my migraines stopped altogether. It was a miracle!

As of now, it has been more than a year since I’ve had a migraine. I am grateful to have learned about naturopathic practices, and I continue to learn new ways to improve my quality of life. It’s actually become one of my hobbies!

This is just my journey. We are all built differently, and may experience different issues. I hope to inspire you to seek more and better information and to take more risks in trying what might be new if it means a better quality of life.

It’s true what they say, We are what we eat. We only have one body - we have to make sure we put all of the right ingredients in, check the levels, and if the engine light clicks on, you know it's time for a change (or at least a tune up!). I like to think of it as achieving optimal performance.
