ELEGANT WEDDING TORONTO WINTER / SPRING 2016 Volume 2 | Page 24
The Reception
Favourite couples from various works of literature were the theme for the “Love Story” reception that took place in the library of the Casa
Loma. As the guests took their seats and the
newlyweds awaited their grand entrance, the
MC shared the love story that started it all: the
camping trip. A delicious dinner was served,
the dance floor opened up and throughout the
evening guests took the time to write special
notes placed inside bottles for Natalie and
Stewart to open on their 1st, 10th and 25th
wedding anniversaries.
The bride says... “Some things will go wrong, no
wedding is perfect. However, if you face each challenge with a positive attitude and a graceful demeanor
than nothing will ruin your special day.”
The Decor
Incorporating a literary theme into the wedding
was a must. With their own version of a fairytale
spent in a castle the source of inspiration, the two
felt there no better way to signify the “next chapter” than with literary cues. Seating cards were
printed to reflect library cards, tables were named
after some of their favourite literary couples,
menus were made to look like bookmarks and the
cake had scriptwriting and quotes inscribed on the
bottom tier. More shades of pink and gold were
present throughout with a variety of florals including roses, hydrangeas and Manzanita trees covered
in cherry blossoms used as centrepieces.
