THE RECEPTION
When the doors to the hall opened and the room was revealed, guests were greeted by live
jazz music and a “Champagne Fairy” who poured them each a drink while hanging from
the ceiling. As for the bride and groom, a team of six drummers serenaded them as they
made their entrance down a staircase. Nima surprised Zeitoon with a self-choreographed
dance with his groomsmen; a seemingly endless supply of delicious food was served; and
exceptional Persian performances and music took place.
THE DECOR
R5 Event Design used a pastel palette of purple and pink to realize Zeitoon’s vision of an
enchanted garden. The couple was seated like royalty under a wisteria canopy at a sweetheart
table with a 20-foot floral backdrop. Round tables featuring tall Manzanita tree and cherry
blossom centrepieces were dispersed through the room for guests. And rectangular tables with
tall white structures topped with wisteria and hanging candles framed the dance floor. The
main attraction of the reception: an extraordinary floral swing where the six-tier cake stood.
