Adam and Andrea met at a friend ’ s ‘ 90s-themed birthday party back in 2011 . Andrea came with a collection of Beanie Babies and Barbies in a backpack ; Adam came in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles T-shirt and old-school Blue Jays jersey . It was love at first sight , set to Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys . Although the two didn ’ t start dating immediately , they soon discovered they had similar interests . At a Bruce Springsteen concert in 2012 , Adam finally asked for a date .

The Ceremony : Adam and Andrea opened their ceremony by having one of their favourite folk jazz bands , the Boxcar Boys , play a New Orleans ragtime-jazz song as Andrea walked down the aisle with her father . The ceremony was short , sweet and featured a light-hearted version of their love story with a reading from their favourite artist , Bruce Springsteen .
The Reception : Guests gathered in a glorious hall lined with floor to ceiling windows for the cocktail hour and reception . Hot and cold hors d ’ oeuvres were served along with a signature hurricane drink cleverly titled “ Cane Hurry Love .” Thoughtful speeches were shared , a delicious two-course meal was had and a charming sweet table consisting of four types of pies and three types of doughnuts was enjoyed by everyone .
The Decor : To reflect the historic art-deco ambience of the building , Adam and Andrea decided on a vintage , speakeasy theme for their decor . Old whisky barrels , vintage settees , Victorian chairs , gold ornate chalkboards and borrowed tea cups from their own grandmother ’ s collection were dispersed throughout the room . Little Blue Lemon captured the entire day extraordinarily .
