How They Met | Raquel and Steven met on a chilly winter night in downtown Toronto while out with some friends. When both caught the
other’s eye from across the room, Steven made the move to go up to Raquel and break the ice. Although the place was loud and
crowded, they spent nearly two hours together. It was like no one else was in the room. Shortly after that night, Steven reached out to Raquel to go
out on a date. Suppressing the urge to play hard to get, Raquel gladly accepted because she knew it would be worth it.
The Ceremony | Six groomsmen, seven bridesmaids, two maids of honour and two best men made up Raquel and Steven’s beautiful bridal party.
Captured by Dave Abreu Photography, the traditional Catholic ceremony featured an altar decorated with cascading white orchids by Creations by Gitta
to foreshadow the icy winter theme to come. As nervous as Raquel was during the ceremony—her shoe got caught in her dress while walking down the
aisle—all nerves settled the moment Steven took her hand. Nonetheless, Raquel managed to put the wedding band on the wrong finger.
