How They Met | Vaughan and Alysha met over Christmas holidays back
in 2014 through an online dating site called OkCupid.com. Vaughan was
away visiting family in Nova Scotia and Alysha was at a family’s house
near Toronto. Turned out they lived two blocks away from each other.
The Ceremony | Simple, elegant and quick was how Vaughan and
Alysha wanted their intimate outdoor ceremony. White draping was hung
from a large tree to frame the altar, meanwhile wine barrels topped with
flowers decorated the start of the aisle. To keep things personal, the couple
wrote their own vows and exited down the aisle to DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is
Win” to kick off the start of a great party.
The Reception | For the reception, Vaughan and Alysha wanted guests
to have a memorable experience that included amazing food, drinks and lots
of laughter. Cold vodka shots were taken while chanting “Sto Lat!” (Polish
for cheers) to honour the groom’s Polish heritage, and plenty of bubbles
were included in the theme to honour the bride’s Italian heritage. Several
members of the bridal party shared hilarious stories for the speeches.
