Anchoring both sides of the altar were two large white and blush floral arrangements perched atop white pedestals. Not only did the priest have guests laughing and crying throughout, he made the mass as per- sonal as possible. The Reception | Since Monica and Ricardo decided to hold their reception under a tent on private property, they were able to begin the setup months in advance by levelling off the area with heavy equipment. While guests indulged in traditional Portuguese hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour, Digital Dream captured the entire bridal party (made up of 10 brides- maids and 10 groomsmen) on a steam engine train at South Simcoe Railway that the bride and groom rented for the occasion. At the reception, dinner began with a Portuguese kale and potato soup, followed by a fresh garden salad, and choice of Portuguese cod or chicken breast. All tables featured two bottles of red wine: Rosa Santa and a house wine that was bottled and labelled by the couple. The Decor | Fresh greenery and blush hues were the guiding factors of Monica and Ricardo’s elegant and contemporary decor scheme. Long harvest tables where all the guests were seated included tall centrepieces consisting of blush roses, white hydrangeas and green- ery alongside low centerpieces made with the same floral. To elevate the poles holding up the tent, each featured a gorgeous chandelier. Behind the head table where the bride, groom, and bridal party sat, lighting provided by Digital Dream emphasized a beautiful backdrop of blush draping. 65
