The Ceremony | A short and sweet traditional Jewish ceremony was how
Mishka and Justin exchanged their vows. Immediate families of both the
bride and groom walked down the aisle to a floating chuppah hung from the
ceiling featuring cascading white orchids from each corner.
The Reception | At the request of the bride, all food at the recep-
tion was vegan and gluten-free. Cocktail hour opened with a table serv-
ing a variety of breads and dip, along with Italian pizza, pasta and salad.
Canapés consisted of tempura avocado with a five-spice dip; cauliflower
wings and Ruben sandwiches; and tacos served with shots of margarita.
The Decor | R5 Event Design turned the clear-top tent where Mishka
and Justin’s reception took place into a whimsical indoor garden. Twinkling
lights lined the ceiling where masses of greenery hung overhead. For a
touch of rusticity, long harvest tables were decorated with crawling greenery
centrepieces and white chairs. Everyone felt as though they were dining in a
scene out of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
