They wined and dined, enjoyed good vibes, all while chatting and getting to know one another. After dating for five years, Philip decided to pop the question to Tina a few weeks before her 30th birthday. He reserved a table at Pullman (the couple’s favourite wine bar), got down on one knee and proposed. Tina was so surprised, she thought he was only tying his shoes. The Ceremony | To honour both the bride and groom’s heritage, a classic Vietnamese ceremony took place. Philip and Tina were dressed in traditional wedding attire, took part in the tea ceremony and returned to their condo for the legal marriage where a friend officiated the ceremony. The Reception & Decor | After falling in love with the uniqueness of the Salon Urbain at Place des Arts, Philip and Tina selected it as the space for their reception. Guests were served a wide variety of delicious drinks and appetizers by a close friend for the cocktail hour, consisting of beef tartare, sushi, bocconcini skewers, shrimp, caviar on blini and goat cheese and beet puree. Moving into dinner, a nine-course meal of fine Chinese cuisine kept guests full until heading onto the dance floor. In case guests got hungry later on, the newlyweds ordered burgers from McDonalds for the midnight table. The exceptional design of the venue allowed Philip and Tina to acquire little decoration for the reception. To complement the bright red curtains and colourful ceiling, red chairs were rented and yellow roses and baby’s breath were incorporated into the centrepiece of each table. Avant Garde Studio captured the entire day perfectly. AVANT GARDE STUDIO | My career as a working photographer began when I was a journalist. It often occurred that I would abandon the pen in favour of the camera, in order to adequately express my need to tell stories through images. In fact, this approach led me to focus on the subject of photoreporting as I completed specialized studies in photojournalism. I feel very privileged to ‘tell the story’ of memorable moments at your own event, capturing all the beauty and authenticity of your environment, while enjoying the freedom of expression and creativity that I experience through photography.| www.avant-garde-studio.com| 514-519-3861 ELEGANT EDDING.CA 71
