How They Met | Jessica and Gabriel met through a
group of mutual friends in high school when they were 16
years old. With Gabriel always finding a way to make her
laugh, Jessica naturally fell head over heels. Twelve years
later, he still makes her laugh. The couple celebrated their
nuptials on June 24, 2017.
The Ceremony | To reflect the beauty of nature, Jessica
and Gabriel decided to have a beautiful summer garden-
inspired ceremony held under a white gazebo lined with
flowers. Half of the outdoor ceremony was performed in
French and the other half with traditional Persian customs
such as the grinding of sugar cones and a mini sofreh aghd
filled with little treasures symbolizing prosperity, fertility
and everlasting love. Gabriel’s uncle officiated; Jessica’s
aunt read a poem written especially for the occasion; and
the couple’s adorable dog acted as the ring bearer.
The Decor| Keeping with the natural beauty of the venue,
Jessica opted for greenery garlands and bouquets featuring
silver dollar eucalyptus for her and her bridesmaids. Inside the
reception, chalkboard signage was paired with a gold frame
seating chart and mixed green centrepieces in glass bottles.
To honour the couple’s 11 years spent together, tables were
named after each year of their relationship. Andrew Monia
