A miniature IP65-rated PIR presence detector has been launched by CP Electronics , allowing for maximum ease of integration and installation into outdoor luminaires .
The EBMHS-IP miniature PIR presence detector from CP Electronics has been tested and approved to IP65 rating in accordance to BS60598-1 2015 standards for 15 minutes , demonstrating impressive water ingress protection . This makes it suitable for external applications including car parks and street lighting .
With a range of up to 16m at a 7m mounting height , the EBMHS-IP can be supplied pre-wired with an RJ11 plug for connection to the relevant power supply . For lighting manufacturers , it presents a fully integrated control solution , approved to the same ingress protection standards as luminaires themselves . The product has also passed extensive vibration testing , further demonstrating its durability .

THE TASTY NEW WAY TO PULL CABLES !
Super Rod is introducing a tasty new addition to its range of innovative cable routing tools ; the Cable Tongue . Cable Tongue is the new quick and easy way to run cables though interior walls and other awkward spaces , saving installers time and hassle on tricky jobs .
Cable Tongue is a 3.6m long flat , plastic flexible cable which has been specially designed with curved edges so it can slide easily through filled walls , above ceilings and under floors without catching on insulation or other obstacles . It can be bent into shape , making it easy to feed through difficult areas , and a simple bend at the end of the tongue will allow it to pop out of small exit holes too .
To use the Cable Tongue , simply feed it through the route where the cable needs to run , attach the cable to the tongue at the other end using electricians ’ tape and then pull back through . When you have finished with it , the Cable Tongue bends back into shape and can be stored flat or coiled .

Rolec has supplied Jaguar Land Rover ( JLR ) with 40 of its 1way and 2way portable EV CubiCharge units .
These specialist Rolec units are designed to offer temporary 16amp and 32amp Mode 3 , Type 2 fast charging facilities for locations such as exhibitions , events , showrooms , test centres , temporary parking facilities , etc .
CubiCharge can be manufactured to charge up to four EVs at a time from a single unit and can be individually designed to suit the customer ’ s corporate colours and branding .
Each CubiCharge unit comes equipped with an electric inlet which allows it to be connected to a nearby power source , including mobile generator , with each of the charge points being individually protected by a DC sensitive , overload and fault current device .
