ED&I EXPO A NIGHT TO REMEMBER The ED&I networking dinner took place on the evening of 6 September, and provided a relaxed environment in which industry members could meet and mingle. Dinner is served The end of the first day of the expo was rounded off by the ED&I networking dinner, a lively night of good food, drinks and dancing. Guests were given the opportunity to unwind, mingle and make connections with other key players in the industry. After a drinks reception in the atrium, guests made their way into the dining hall for a three-course meal. Show organiser David Kitchener spoke briefly to thank everyone for their support of the inaugural ED&I Expo, as well as his expectations for next year’s show. Looking to the future, he discussed his plans to work with the industry to get the most out of the ED&I Expo in 2018. He also introduced Tessa Ogle, who spoke briefly about the work being done by the Electrical Industries Charity. She highlighted the charity’s Challenge for a 38 | October 2017 Cause, which aims to raise £250,000 to purchase a house to safeguard the future of Caz Dickinson and her family, as well the charity’s dedication to working with industry partners to carry out any renovation work which the house might n
