URMET REVEALS STEEL ELEKTA DOOR ENTRY PANEL
New from Urmet is a brushed stainless steel version of its Elekta door entry panel with a flush profile fascia . A visitor using the Elekta panel sees information displayed on a 3.5 inch screen . The panel ’ s built-in wide angle colour camera captures images of the visitor and the resident views this on an internal monitor within their apartment .
The Elekta INOX meets the performance requirements of the Equality Act . The alphanumeric keypad features backlit LED illumination to assist the visually impaired and the range of mounting heights complies with recommendations for wheelchair users in the Wheelchair Housing Design Guide .
The panel offers both door entry and access control . The 316-grade micro-brushed stainless steel panel is flush- mounted to the fascia of entrances .
Urmet offers a plethora of materials and finishes . There are also Elekta panels in steel , glass and 316L marine grade stainless steel . The Elekta INOX is available both with Urmet ’ s IPervoice full IP system , as well as with the 2Voice two-wire system .

METWAY INTRODUCES BESA BOX SOCKET OUTLET RANGE
The new besa box socket outlet range from Metway are designed to fit standard ‘ G ’ type industry preferred connectors in 3 , 4 and 6 pole versions . All versions fit straight onto standard round UK plastic or metal besa / conduit boxes . The 6 pole version is designed with an extra deep mounting plate to accommodate up to 12 1.5mm single conductors ( 6 in / 6 out ), and are supplied in industry standard black / blue mechanical coding , but will also be available in black / grey to service legacy installations .
Typical applications for this type of connector would be any installation that requires enhanced fire protection insisting on mechanical containment of cabling within the building fabric , eg . where the use of conduit and conduit boxes is required , examples of which are hospitals , retail , government buildings and council offices , airports and large multi-use office blocks especially for Category A installs .
The easy fit and connect besa box socket range is supplied with fixing screws ( besa box not supplied ). It offers an easy loop in and out facilitated by double-stacked terminal design on mounting plate connectors . The latching plug feature ensures and maintains positive connection .
Moulded in V0 grade plastic and rated at 16A , 230V AC +/ - 10 %, 50Hz with a terminal capacity of 2.5 mm ², this product is compliant with BS733:2010 + A1:2014 and the connectors to BS61535 .
