EDITORIAL IN WITH THE OLDER C oinciding with National Apprenticeship Week, much has been written about the opportunities that apprenticeships can offer to young people and, while most of it is undoubtedly true, very little of the focus falls upon adult trainees and the opportunities offered to older workers looking to break into the industry. We all know that there is a skills shortage in the industry and that there is no short term fix.
