PRODUCTS COMPANY SHOWCASE SPONSORED STORIES FROM THE INDUSTRY RITTAL LED LIGHT SERIES NOW COMPLETE Rittal is to launch two new versions of its LED system lights (600 and 400 lumens of light output) designed to enable control and switchgear manufacturers to provide lower light output for smaller enclosures. The 600-lumen version meets the standard requirement for the large TS 8 enclosure while the 400-lumen lights are suited to wall mounted enclosures, such as the Rittal AE compact enclosure series. All the lights have been designed for a wide range voltage input (100-240V AC) and can therefore be used in every market all over the world. This cuts storage costs and simplifies selecting products. The lights can be adapted to any type of installation and fitted either vertically or horizontally in the enclosure section. They can also be mounted quickly and easily just by clipping them into the TS 8 enclosure section. The use of a universal bracket provides rapid assembly in AE compact enclosures. Rittal’s range of accessories includes door operated switches and through-wiring for bayed suites for all the LED system lights. The new machines are designed to improve and increase performance and delivery in power, speed and impact whilst constantly reducing overall size and weight. The new Makita DTW285 LXT features the reverse rotation auto stop mode. If, for example, an operator needs to undo a substantial fixing, simply switching the DTW285 to reverse mode and pulling the trigger fully home, will achieve the function, allowing for the safe removal of fixings by hand. Equally sensational is the tightening performance, delivering 280Nm of fastening torque. This tool will run from 1,600rpm up to 2,800rpm, and with three gears the impacts range from 1,800ipm to 3,500imp in a machine that measures just 147mm overall body length. Two new versions of the 18V LXT brushless motor drill driver have been introduced: the Makita body only DDF083Z, a direct drive model, whilst the Makita DDF484 features a keyless chuck. Both models have two-speed, all metal drive systems; variable speed trigger; electric brake; ergonomic soft grip; LED job light and belt clip.
