The Agrippa fire door holder is now available to buy in store and online at Toolstation .
Launched four years ago by UK manufacturer Geofire , the battery powered door retainer automatically releases the fire door in the event of the fire alarm sounding .
Unlike other wire free retainers , the Agrippa holder records the sound of the fire alarm , storing the sound onto the device . If the building ’ s alarm sounds , the door is released to prevent the spread of smoke and flames .

MEGAMAN LAUNCHES A NEW GENERATION OF DINO LED BATTEN FITTINGS
Megaman has released Dino 2 , a new and improved range of weatherproof and corrosion free integrated LED battens , which offer efficient replacements for indoor and outdoor linear fluorescent T5 and T8 sealed battens .
The new generation of IP66 rated and robust luminaires feature an additional through wire to allow a permanent live feed for control sensors and non-maintained emergency luminaires .
Available in both clear and opal diffuser versions with a colour temperature of 4,000K , Dino 2 battens are available in three different lengths : 2ft , 4ft and 5ft . The Dino 2 battens also provide five different lumen packages – delivering up to 104 lumens per watt , low maintenance costs and a service life of 50,000 hours to L70 .
To facilitate control sensors Megaman also offers a passive infrared ( PIR ) Sensor module , which is available to serve as a master device for up to eight luminaires and has a 120 ° detection range with an easy to use on / off control .

NEW FUNCTIONS ADDED TO WIELAND ’ S FLARE TIME RELAYS
Flare Time HM electronic timing relays and the flare Control measuring and monitoring relays ranges have been expanded to include new products : The Flare Time HM8-2U-A , universal multifunctional timing relay and the Flare Control IL-1-A and UL-1-A current and voltage measuring relay . These relays not only offer the advantages of universal application in industrial automation , but their 22.5mm width also makes them real place savers that can be applied over a wide range of temperatures .
Flare Time HM8-2U-A features eight time ranges and four time and four special functions , including stepping ( inverted ), watchdog and wiper interval . Flare Control IL-1-A and UL-1-A timing and monitoring relays have adjustable delay at lower-limit violation , whereby the upper and lower limits can be set separately , a multi-voltage range of 20.4 to 264V AC / DC .
