KLEIN TOOLS LAUNCHES ITS SAFEST UTILITY KNIFE YET
Klein Tools has launched a new utility knife which puts safety first with its innovative selfretracting blade mechanism , no-slip grip and high visibility design .
Despite its pocket size ( it ’ s just 127mm long ), the self-retracting utility knife is packed with features to make cutting with a blade much safer for installers . Simply extend the blade and apply to the hard surface which needs cutting ; when the cut is complete and the blade is removed from the hard surface , it retracts automatically , and fully , into the housing .
The knife has a bright yellow handle which creates a visual prompt to ensure the tool will be handled correctly , and it features a soft touch , rubberised handle for a no-slip grip . As a handy extra , the heavy duty knife also has a wire stripping notch and a lanyard hole so installers can safely tether it to guard against injuries from a dropped knife and ensure its not lost on site .
The knife uses standard utility blades and has a blade removal / insertion slide button , so there is no need to disassemble the knife in order to change the blade .
