Report about 28th Sand Marathon

The South of Morocco, near Quarzazate, was the destination of hundreds of people from April 5th to 15th. The occasion was the Sand Marathon in its 28th version.

Then aim of the marathon was to collect money for the poor. The participants reached over 1017 men and women aged 18 up to 80 from all over the world.

The marathon’s main rules were the following:

- Competitors should carry basic supplies such as food, clothes, medical kits and sleeping bags…

- Water was distributed every 10 km.

The winners of the marathon in women’s race and men’s race were Laurence Klein from France and Mohammed Ahansal from Morocco. They received awards.

I personally think that the Sand Marathon was full of fun. I enjoyed every minute and I can’t wait until I attend the next version.
