Achieved considerable cost avoidance on day-to-day purchases made by the Fiscal Unit

through efficient buying, bulk ordering, bidding and negotiation which resulted in roughly

$50,000 in bottom line savings.

The County of El Dorado recently went live with a new payroll scheduling and time card system,

Kronos. Over the last year, the Sheriff’s Office Fiscal Unit and Support Services Division have

been creating time codes, location set ups and approval work flows used to build the Kronos

System to accurately reflect the labor activity cost accounting of all Sheriff's Office staff. This

has been a significant project that has taken considerable time and effort.

The Fiscal Unit maintained a substantial work load managing the payroll, accounts payable,

procurement and contracts, accounting and accounts receivable function for the Sheriff’s

Office with precision and accuracy.

Fiscal has also been the liaison for the County of El Dorado in regards to working with CalOES

and FEMA for all reimbursement negotiations and close-out procedures from the January

and February 2017 Catastrophic Storm Declaration handed down from the President of the

United States and the Governor of California.
