American Soldiers by Matt Morillo has been performed by the department previously, but Infinite Black Suitcase by E. M. Lewis is new to the SAC stage. “Both plays are socially and politically relevant and deal with people struggling with the various aspects of life, death and relationships. They are also great pieces for actors to work on, because the char- acters are strong, complex and dynamic,” said Chris Cannon, theatre department chair and director of both productions. Both plays will be performed at the Black Box Theatre in Phillips Hall. Following the opening nights, performances will be June 1 to 4, starting at 7:30 p.m. each night. —Ruby Nuñez WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU Have a news tip or know about other events around town?
