[P R O D U C T REVIEW ] WHAT THE PLAYERS SAY 1 From a player perspective, what are your initial thoughts? Player 1 A lot of these games like Zoom and Rush Poker seem very similar, but this is just as good as those ones and looks good too. Player 2 I’m a rookie when it comes to this format but I liked it and it wasn’t too daunting to play. Player 3 I’m a novice but found it a fun alternative. The graphics are good, but could look better. Player 4 Good selection of tables and average pot sizes to choose from, especially for people new to this format. Player 1 Sometimes I still have to wait for players to be available before I can get a hand on a new table – maybe the player pool needs to be bigger. Player 2 It wasn’t obvious when it was my go but I did manage to double up within a few minutes so I was happy. Player 3 It can sometimes be hard to tell what is going on and confirmation of who won each hand is a little fast. Player 4 I lost my internet connection during one hand, and the table had no disconnection protection, which was quite frustrating. 3 What could be improved? Hand histories are easily available and not too intrusive It will perhaps be most interesting to see how bet365 and Playtech make the transition to mobile, one area where the appeal of a fast-fold game is obvious Player 1 You get a lot more hands in whenever you play, and I think that is the most important thing to get right. Player 2 The speed fold functionality is great and means you don’t have to waste precious seconds hanging around. Player 3 Very quick and easy to start playing. The pace is blistering, which makes the game more challenging. Player 4 User-friendly interface and your hands flow really quickly into one another, helped by the speed fold button. 2 What works well? Player 1 It would be good to play Sprint Poker tournaments as well as cash games. Player 2 I would say a bit of personality in the game. It looks like any poker site out there so I would like to see a more distinct look and feel. Player 3 Although it’s fun to move from table to table, a tournament would help add continuity to a session. Player 4 There could be more social elements built into the game – it doesn’t really offer anything in this area. 4 What is missing? RANKING Zoom Poker (middle): PokerStars announced full release of its fast-paced offering following real-money beta-testing in March.
