International Projects Instructors Team Text: Marta Polec, LC Krakow Photographs: Miloš Denic, LC Belgrade The more you give and do, the more you can get. Everyone who has ever been truly involved in a project knows that. It is also true when it comes to EESTEC. Together with involvement our experience grows, contacts get expanded, invested time pays off. All of that brings you to the point  when you want to do even more - share it with others and make them part of it. And that’s what we do in Instructors team – we pass EESTEC forward. The idea to create Instructors team was brought up last year by Maciej Witowski (VCEA). He was thinking about the ways to reach people joining EESTEC, how to help them to become part of the organization. The answer which came up, were online trainings. That’s how the team was created – the team of experienced people who will through online trainings pass motivation and experience to Observers’ members. Trainings we have been working on are Promotion and Recruitment, International Awareness, Fundraising, Project Management - key steps to organize an event, Managing the organization and Knowledge Transfer. Hopefully the base will get expanded and topics will cover more and more of EESTEC Commitments need. Sharing is caring - EESTEC shows it in many different ways when it comes to sharing our knowledge and organizational experience. I believe that Instructors team can find brand new ways to do it. Marta Polec - Instructors Team Coordinator After some time we realized that not only Observers need such kind of help. EESTEC as organization constantly changes, changes bring new challenges to face. There is no doubt that JLCs and LCs can also benefit from online trainings. Hopefully in the future the team will be working for the whole organization. Working in Instructors team is a great chance to try something new. It’s challenging and rewarding in the same time. It opens you more for problems EESTEC faces and all kind of ways we as EESTECers can solve them together. All of us have the same common goal, we believe that by helping committees we will help the whole EESTEC to grow. We also see this as a   great opportunity to develop ourselves. Sessions are designed based on all the practical things we have learnt in EESTEC. Preparing and delivering them makes us look at things from a different perspective and use diverse approach. When it comes to trainings, there are two important things for us. The first one is flexibility. Trainings have to be as useful for committees as possible. We’re ready for changes if a session requires adjustments. The second thing is individual approach. Thanks to having people from one committee per session we are able to focus on their situation, problems and questions. Individual contact help assess their needs and check their expectations. 7
