Career - Power Your Future JobFair 2014 - Fair of Opportunities and Possibilities LC Ljubljana - Slovenia Text: Samo Pahor and Andrej Filipic, LC Ljubljana Photographs: Aleks Gabric and Uroš Zupan, LC Ljubljana JobFair 2014 - the seventh Fair of Opportunities and Possibilities was an event organised by EESTEC LC Ljubljana. This year's edition was occurring between the 14th and 16th of April. Mainly targeting Electrical Engineering and Computer Science students, the event gathers them, representatives of high technologies industries and the academic community in one place with the intention of reducing the breach between the knowledge a student has after graduation and the knowledge and skills that employers are expecting. The primary purpose was to bring the students closer to their future employers, emphasizing the importance of extracurricular activities and additional skills and capabilities besides knowledge obtained at the university, for increasing one's employability. inside the company. Besides that, the event was packed with additional activities. Some of the companies held lectures about their current projects or about the company as a whole. Two soft skills trainings were organised, one about Communication, the other about Team work. A selected group of students was trained for the Elevator pitch. This knowledge was useful for the Breakfast with the directors, a speed dating-like event. The conclusion of this three-day successful event was a roundtable titled More than studies: from learning to success. The fair hosted over twenty extremely successful companies from the fields of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. The main part of the event consisted of an actual fair, where different companies offered job opportunities, promoted their brand, explained their work ethic and presented active projects JOBFAIR 13 LC Belgrade – Serbia Text: LC Belgrade Photographs: LC Belgrade The project „JobFair - Create your own future!” emerged from our intention to offer the possibility of direct contact between the students of engineering and technology and successful companies, and thus facilitate career building in their home country. The organizers of the Fair are two volunteer, apolitical and non-profit student organizations: EESTEC and BEST. Through their vision and goals, both offer the students to step into the triangle “students-companies-university” in order to improve their own organizational skills, work on their team and individual performance, and to establish a closer contact with international scientific institutions and leading companies. the universities in Serbia and students from across the country had the opportunity to find employment within their profession. The ninth annual job fair for students and graduates of technical colleges of technology „JobFair - Create your own future!” was held on 4th and 5th November 2013th in the Technical Faculty in Belgrade. During the fair, students had the opportunity to know more about the activities and practices of supply and trends in the field, through direct discussions with the company. As a national character fair, "Job Fair" was presented to all During the two days of the fair, there were left over 2500 CVs, and this year the fair was visited by about 5,000 students from across the country that took the opportunity to talk with employers and find out about current positions for practice and employment and participate in educational activities that were organized during the fair.
