Nowadays, if you want to stand out in engineering, you must be positive, energetic and
able to lead whilst gaining required skills.
Namely, working with various engineering
discipline senables you to have the chance to
make a difference. As Newton states “If I have
seen further it is by standing on the shoulders
of giants.” Therefore, making a smarter career depends on great measure of of the one’s
choices with greatear geness to work. In other words, to make headway, we have to be
open-minded and let the diversity takeover,
as in all fields of engineering and life other cultures has always been a driving force to bring
innovation.
With the afore mentioned reasons; between
the dates of 1-7 December 2013 LC Izmir organized a workshop for the first time with the
co-operation of ESTIEM LG Izmir-Deu: Braintrainer 2013. Izmir is a special place to gather up people that from all over the world in
all seasons. Although the event took place in
winter. All participants felt the fresh and calming weather of Izmir, the Pearl of Agean.
The workshop was a planned project of Estiem and it was about getting to know the business life and experiencing different paths of a
succesful career with professionally arranged
technical trainings.
This years participants had great opportunity
to be informed about two different associations: ESTIEM and EESTEC. It was just the
perfect chance for local EESTECers to develop their soft skills. They also have experienced the ESTIEM culture from ESTIEMers
personally. Apparently, as EESTECers, we
had so much to learn from each other. Former
event provided us another point of view.
Professional training sessions were held by
the instructors of ESTIEM and EESTEC. All
topics were about team-management, business communication, negotiation, case study
solving and many more.
