refrigera on systems for distribu on of perishable goods, is
using a more direct approach to deliver food to people in
need: a $10,000 gi suppor ng the Food Bank of Northeast
Georgia. The gi , made on behalf of the employees of the Athens
facility in recogni on of their performance, will support the food bank’s
ini a ves to eradicate hunger in a 14‐county region. Carrier Transicold

Founded in 1992, the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia recovers
donated and surplus food and distributes it to 225 agencies that reach
more than 125,000 food insecure residents through soup kitchens,
senior centers, food pantries, churches and other hunger relief
organiza ons – more than 12 million pounds of food annually.

Carrier Transicold’s financial gi to the food bank is an amount equal to
60,000 meals, according to John Becker, president and chief execu ve
officer of the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.
