Meet the Staff: Amy Lopp,
Business Development Specialist
As Business Development Specialist for Athens‐Clarke County Economic Development,
Amy Lopp is responsible for the crea on and execu on of proac ve recruitment
strategies to a ract business and industry to Athens‐Clarke County. She works closely
with state and regional partners to enhance economic development networks in our area
and provides real estate and development‐related data to prospec ve clients and the
general public.
Amy graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Landscape Architecture
and has held various roles in the real estate development sector in both Georgia and
Colorado.
When she’s not out talking to folks about what a great place Athens is to live and work,
you can find Amy with her family enjoying the outdoors. She and her husband are avid
backpackers, having completed a thru‐hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2008. They
currently live on a small farm with their two children where they raise chickens, cows,
and bees as well as tending to fruits and vegetables.
Amy joined our department in the newly created posi on, Business Development
Specialist, on February 2, 2015.
